I finally made time to get to work on that dress I had planned since the first of the year. I've been accumulating rick-rack trims and seam bindings lately. Since I make dog coats, I'm using the binding for the edges on quilted ones. I like to use vintage fabric for them, and the colors are hard to match with todays bindings, not to mention that the modern bias binding is a yucky poly-cotton blend. I love Fridays, as it's my get "out of the house and look for patterns" day. Since gas prices went through the roof I've been staying home way more than I used to. That is a real treat because I was supposed to be doing other more important things, like paperwork, housework, yard work. It's tedious work but worth it to be sure that the patterns are complete. It's heart breaking when one I like is missing pieces. Some aren't bad to replace like facings. Figured out that I won't ever have time to sew, so I made time to sew today. So simple, huh? I'm pretty dedicated to the idea of seeing how long I can go without wearing jeans for a while,  and I just don't have anything right now but a few jeans skirts.
